Sweet exfoliation's the way to go

I have a love and hate affair with L'occitane's products. I absolutely love their bath and body products and their exquisite body and hand creams. however, their visage products to me are pretty lacklustre. I wasn't too impressed with their Immortelle Harvest Precious Cream in my review here. However, that didn't stop me from picking up their exfoliant from their almond apple range, though. I thought I'll just give it one more shot. I'm always on a lookout for good exfoliants out there in the market

So, with much hesitation, I've opened the metal lid and immediately I was welcomed with a lovely sweet apple scent. I love the smell. I dipped my finger into the jar and the texture felt thick and gooey yet light to the touch. I applied it generously over my entire face and massaged it lightly as the crushed almond shells gently exfoliate my skin. I do like my exfoliants to be textured, maybe its a placebo effect but I think they always work better when textured. I let it sit on for some time till it's dried up on my skin. Then I wash the residue off with warm water.

Now the verdict...

To be honest, my skin felt so baby smooth to the touch. It lived up to its expectations where it claims to refine skin's texture. My skin feels so taut and smooth as never before. I did detect that my skin looked brighter than before using it. Being the sceptic one when it comes to skincare, I thought it may be a flicker of my imagination. I decided to wait for a week before I use it again and lo and behold, again it's hello to brighter face. I'm loving it so far. Another bonus, my blemishes seems to have been kept at bay ever since using this exfoliant too. That's uber news, people!

As for the exfoliation part, I didn't realise how well it's performed till I find it out by accident actually. It so happened that I had really piping hot soup for dinner and it was right after using the exfoliant. It was so hot I was actually sweating buckets. And my face was actually sweating and my sweat seems to come out from every single pore. The effect is exactly like how your skin feels after going to the hammam or a steam bath. And, here I am, having virtually clog-free pores with this amazing exfoliant. It doesn't sound very nice but I can't really explain it, but my skin feels so clean like every pore is breathing, finally. My skin feels so clean! I think to maximize the effectiveness of this exfoliant, you can try to steam your face and voila you have a little spa session in the comfort of your home.

It's got fantastic ingredients with it's nourishing almond oil. And apple cider vinegar extracted from organic apples in the Provence. Apple cider vinegar is really good to heal acne too.

to have this cynic completely sold. I have a feeling I'll be using this for a long time and I highly recommend it to just about anybody with any skin type.
