Exfoliate for radiant glowing skin
Why do we need to exfoliate?
Our skin cells die every single day. They start to push up towards the top of our skin and pile up on the top layer. Some of these cells fall off but the vast majority stubbornly clings to your skin, causing problems. Think of it this way - even the best moisturizer in the world can't fix dead skin!
At home spa exfoliater
Here is a recipe for an at-home spa treatment that is very simple to make as an exfoliant Fill a little bowl half full of your choice of salt OR sugar. Now add your favourite moisturizing oil(not too much), be it almond oil, baby oil, olive oil, or another beneficial oil to the salt OR sugar. I love olive oil for its wonderful beauty properties. Don't forget to squeeze in some lemon juice for cleansing properties. Stir the mixture together till they become a rich paste. For extra vitamins to your skin, you can break open a few vitamin E capsules and mix into your scrub, or even a little aloe gel to soothe your skin. You can also substitute moisturizing oils with aromatherapy oils like rosehip, rosemary or lavendar oils. Be creative!
Pamper yourself in a warm bath, never a hot bath, as it dries out your skin. Apply the scrub all over your face, scrubing your face with the mix in gentle circular motions. You can then rub the remaining scrub all over your body too. Relax and soak for a few minutes - the oils and salts or sugar will mix with your bath water and moisturize you from head to toe. When you are done, rinse off the scrub from your face and body. When you get out, just pat dry - do not rub to retain moisture.
You will see that your face has a light pink glow from the warming effects of the salt or sugar. Exfoliate for 2-3 times a week and moisturize all over daily. In no time you will find a dramatic improvement of your skin.
