Fading acne spots
I've had a bout of terrible adult acne about close to one year ago. It was a terrible, terrible ordeal as I rarely had any acne at all throughout adolescence. It was a big wakeup call to pay more attention to my skin and listen to its needs. So, I was plagued with the worst ever adult acne. I had like crazy acne all over my cheeks especially. Now they are gone (touch wood!) but I'm left with old battle scars to deal with.
Everyone would know, those pesky red scars left by acne. Some may have brown scars due to different pigmentation and skin tone. Whatever the color, we all know what it is. Not a pretty sight and it's quite depressing at times. Ok, I'm lying I was depressed for a very LONG time after that. I'm close to tears most times.
I'm adopting a little personal battle to rid these scars. It seems to be improving. After all it may be a placebo effect, but Im happy with what I see so far. Hear me out
FIRST STEP : EXFOLIATE
I really love my coffee facial mask . It really does exfoliate very well. Anyway for those who doesn't like the smell of coffee, you can try something sweeter. Try my scrumptious sugar scrub. It's just as effective in exfoliating. You all know how much I love DIY home facials by now
SECOND STEP : USE A SPOT CORRECTOR SERUM
Recently, I was going through my stash of unused skin care and I chance upon this spot corrector. I've dabbed it on to the spots and I sure am amazed at the results. I use it twice a day. I really, really see a difference. I'm truly amazed and all this while, it was lying in my drawer of skincare purgatory. It was a really great surprise find. I've been using it for a about a week now and I'm actually not using much concealer to cover up those acne scars. ( I hope I don't jinx it) To me, that's what I'll call results!!
SURPRISE CATCH OF THE DAY
In bated breath, this wonderful spot corrector serum is none other than Nivea Visage Spot Corrector Serum. I know, it's a real surprise catch. I've used Nivea when I was a teenager and it suited me fine then, but as I mature, it doesn't really serve it's purpose as well as it did previously. But I sure am loving the results I'm seeing. It has Vitamin C in it, which we all know by now, to play a role in brightening skin. It has UVA and UVB sun protection to prevent further sun damage and it's own formula of Triple Whitening Effects.
Try it out. A little problem, it's quite hard to find it, as it's not sold in some countries. Anybody has any luck with it? Meanwhile, anybody with a great spot corrector serum, let me know. I would love to try them out. I should make a mental note to go for a microdermabrasion to get rid of the remaining acne marks
