Neutrogena Deep Hydrating Mask: Surprise Beauty Steal
Without much expectations, I put on the mask the first night before I sleep. It was easy to apply to the contours of my face but I still hate the shar pei effect of using facial masks. It suggests leaving on the mask for 15 mins but I thought I'll leave it on till the mask has almost dried up. You know, trying to maximise the benefits of the mask especially in this economic downturn.
Guess what? The next morning, when I woke up, I thought it was probably a placebo effect, but I swear my complexion looked clearer than before. Also, my face wasn't as oily the entire day even when I was out in the blistering heat the entire day. I didn't even mop any excess oil off my face with those blotting papers. Nada. That to me is very impressive. My makeup glides on very smoothly in the morning. My skin looks so much more dewy and plump. Mind you, that's only the first facial mask. So, I used the facial mask for 5 consecutive nights and still loving it. Now, I'm already planning to buy the next box.
The facial mask that I'm referring to is none other than Neutrogena's Deep Hydrating Mask. It comes in 5 facial masks in a box. I say ladies, this is a real keeper! I love how well hydrated my skin is. Plus, it just proves that my skin was really dry prior to this, hence the extra secretion of oil on my face. Which I really, really hate. After Neutrogena's mask, my oil problem is nothing but history. It's almost a contradiction itself, that my oil problem is kept at bay by a hydrating mask. Neutrogena claims this mask can boost skin's moisture level up to 12 times. I find that quite far fetched as there are no scientific claims to that, but hey, it doesn't matter as my skin is loving it.
Oh for those who are curious about the key ingredients, it has Ascorbyl Glucoside 3rd on the list of ingredients. Ascorbyl Glucoside is a stable form of Vitamin C, which helps to brighten skin and fade pigmentation and is a great anti-oxidant. Therefore, people, this product is really fabulous from a scientific point of view. And from my first-hand experience, this product is really worth it. Try it out yourself!
