The Lttle Brown Bottle: Monday Discoveries
A skincare miracle exists in this famous little brown bottle, which has for more than 25 years been a staple in many women's skincare regime. Now, it has a special place in mine. I'm not surprised if it's already claimed a spot in yours too.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair
, most probably the best-known night serum in the skincare market. It's designed to protect skin against environmental damage, enhances skin's ability to repair itself and up to 40% decrease in the look of lines and wrinkles.
I was hoping for a miracle for my neglected skin, due to frequent long haul fligts, work stress (my director is quitting so I have to cover for him), too much sun exposure (when I was still young and nubile), sensitivities from trying out too many products simultaneously (I'm greedy!) and late nights (a girl's gotta have fun, somtimes). I'm ridden with the worst skin ever - dry skin, blemishes, post ane scars, flaking, you name it, I'll most probably have it too - all at one go. Despite all the hype over it, I was still rather sceptical, which I always am, before trying out any new skincare product.
When I woke up the next day, I had mixed feelings. I was curious on what 'miracles' it could bring and also harboured the fear of being let down. Lo and behold, when I looked at the mirror, I was truly blown away. In just 1 day, my skin looks radiant and even toned. No more flaking, and I just look so well rested. And all in just ONE day! I was excited but I thought, maybe, maybe it's all just a placebo effect. I've decided to give it another week.
Another 7 days gone by, I'm totally, deeply and madly in love with this little brown bottle. Even my post acne scars have faded out alot, not completely, but I have faith. My skin has that radiance and glow like never before. It feels like I've been having regular facials and really been pampering my skin. I've skipped all foundations just because I was THAT happy with my skin. My skin tone has evened out and all dry, flaking skin is nothing but history. the little lines under the eyes are also less noticeable too. Also, I love, love, love the fact that my face looks so fresh and well-rested every, single morning.
Another plus point, the texture of the serum is lightweight and doesn't create a film on your skin. It's perfect for all skin types too. I also love the fact that it doesn't sting in the sensitive eye areas. Probably some of you would have to accustom yourself to the smell. It has that funny, well, serummy smell. But hey, with all the miracles that it brings, I would slather it on even if it smells like the skunk. It comes in the largest size of 3.4 oz but I wish it comes in gallons. I would have even bathed in it *wink*
Use Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair every day and night (as per instructions in the box) for optimum results. For me, I rather use it solely at nights. Well, it's a night serum after all. For day time, I have another serum by Estee Lauder. I'll review it in coming posts.
Oh, by the way, it's only 1 week I'm using it, I can't wait to see what miracles it continues to bring after 4 weeks and beyond!
