Today, on the 20th of January, 2009 is a day of hope and dreams. A day of a grand change in American history. I'm very proud and glad that President Obama is now the 44th President of the United States of America.
Humility, gratitude and sacrifice.
On the day of his celebration, President Obama was deeply grounded and sombre, which clearly reflects his core integrity. From his Inaugural address, we learn that at a time of scarcity, do not waste opportunities. When the world is watching and willing to follow, tell them where you want to take them. And above all, tell the truth. Simple yet strong words that resonates deep within all of us. That's the very charismatic and extremely poised President Barack Obama.
Here are some of my favourite pictures from his Inauguration
Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, walking hand in hand, as they walk down Pennsylvania Avenue in the Inauguration parade. They look very much the epitome of a loving couple. They are so perfect for each other.
Could you resist a charming smile like his?
I simply adore this picture. It looks like a modern day Baroque oil painting. This is President Barack Obama with the membes of Congress in the President's Room after signing his first act as President, a proclamation designating today a "National Day of Renewal and Reconciliation"
Barack Obama is sworn in with the Lincoln Bible, with his family looking on.
I've yet to see a President as poised and confident as President Obama.
These are some of my favourite pictures at the Inauguration. I hope you've enjoyed them as much as I do. Next post, it's definitely about First Lady Michelle Obama's Isabel Toledo dress. Wait up, peeps.
