YSL Gloss Pur Black: Monday Discoveries

Ladies and gents, black is back in style - probably more chic and high fashion than ever. Black seems like the new pink these days, on the lips that is. One of fall's most daring beauty trends have to be the dark, almost black lips. YSL has a limited edition black gloss, YSL Gloss Pur in Noir thanks to the brainchild of makeup artist Tom Pecheux, who has created the austere yet elegant black lips for YSL's fall runway look. Are you lemming for this black gloss?

Are you in for the black lip this season? The tube looks rather scary but the gloss is actually quite sheer. For those who are toying with the idea of the black lips, but the black is too intimidating, "simply add a few drops to your favourite lipstick to deepen the color, " says Pecheux. That reminds me, I do have a very dark lipstick that is currently sitting in my makeup purgatory section. Maybe it's time for it to appear again :)

By the way, Lancome would be launching a lip color set that includes a black lip gloss too. The duo set wont be out until November but I'll let you know early, because rumor has it that there's already a waiting list for it!
