Today, the topics of acne just pop up in a random conversation. Then, painful memories of acne came flooding over me. I still cringe thinking about it. It was so bad, I had to consult a dermatologist. The doc prescribed me antibiotics and some Benzoyl peroxide cream. According to him, he said that the acne flare-up could be a result of switching to a new make-up or facial cream; amongst a host of other reasons for adult acne.

In fact, it could just be it! Coz, around that time before the breakout, I did randomly buy a new anti-acne cream ironically from the drugstore. Immediately, on the next day, I had like cystic acne on my cheeks, which I've never had there before. And then, it was all hell breaks loose, cystic acne seem to pop up exponentially on both sides of my cheeks. According to the doctor, acne as a result of reaction to a certain makeup or cream, could last as long as 3-6 months.
