Best of the 2008 Emmy Awards: Red Carpet Showdown

This year at the Emmy's, most of the celebrities were dressed to impress, with their gorgeous gowns, perfect makeup and hairstyles right down to their lovely blings. Despite the star-studded evening, the entire award show was rather hum-drum except for the moment when Heidi Klum had a 'wardrobe mulfunction' thanks to William Shatner and Tom Bergeron. However, a few beauties really stood out and caught my attention - for various beauty reasons

Heidi Klum


















Heidi Klum looked glamorous in this sparkly Armani Prive gown. Her makeup was simple but not at all washed-out, with emphasis on the eyes and her full lashes, balanced out by just a hint of blush and soft nude lips keeps her look sexy and fresh. Love that Brigitte Bardot-inspired hairstyle and those cute butterfly earrings. She deserves to be All-Rounders Beauty as she can rock any makeup look and hairstyle on the red carpet, anytime.

Marcia Cross


















Marcia Cross really nailed the look. She looked so ethereal and unbelievably beautiful in this Elie Saab tulle dress . Her makeup brings out the peaches and cream in her complexion, with a subtle smokey eye but with dramatic lashes. She has peach blush to bring out her healthy glow and soft rosebud lips. I like the fact that her lip and blush are not too matchy-matchy. Great makeup and check out that cornea searing diamond bracelet from Hearts of Fire! She deserves the Impeccable Beauty title for her perfect makeup and style choices on the red carpet, each and everytime.

Brooke Shields


















Her fuchsia Badgley Mischka dress is gorgeous but the spotlight is definitely on her Veronica Lake waves. Boy, does she look fabulous with those long full waves. I've not really seen Brooke Shields hitting the red carpet but she does it with so much aplomb this time round at the Emmy's. If you're done oggling her hair, have you noticed her to-die-for lashes yet? Brooke deserves the Best Comeback Beauty title for her first Emmy Awards in years.

Kyra Sedgwick


















Kyra's super sexy in this white crepe gown by L'Wren Scott accented with diamond embroidery. Makeup was fresh-faced with emphasis on Kyra's beautiful matte lips. She's got one helluva kickass figure. Kevin Bacon is one lucky man, indeed. Maybe, that's the secret to their successful and long marriage in Tinseltown. Kyra's undoutbtedly, takes home the Sexy Siren title.

Hayden Panettiere


















Hayden Panettiere has got the most youthful skin ever. She looks luminous in every single picture. Love her new sleek hairstyle, which draws more attention to her face. She looks sultry in dramatic blackliner-rimmed eyes and sexy falsies. To balance off the look, she went for subtle, soft dewy lips to draw attention to her full lips, without overshadowing her dramatic eyes. Hayden's got the most beautiful cheeks, that you just couldn't resist pinching, ever. They're always impeccable with the perfect blush and highlights for her signature dewy look. She's got so much going on for her, did you notice she has a kick ass dangerously low-cut, chic Badgley Mischka dress on? Hayden, of course, wins hands-down the Youthful Beauty title
