Can this skincare product be your best companion at boring functions?
I have an ex colleague, a friendly old chap. He's really nice and genuine but not really the sharpest tool in the shed. We had worked on projects together and he was really supportive and helpful. Naturally, after he has left the company, we still kept in touch. We meet up about once in a blue moon over drinks just to catch up. Sounds nice ain't it? But, the truth is, he's really quite boring indeed.
Recently, before said catching up session, I've decided to try out a new anti-fatigue skincare range for men. My reasoning was, hey, if it could beat fatigue, at least it could help me to stay 'awake' with an energetic booster during the casual meeting. As any savvy skincare junky, i read the list of ingredients. So far, so good. Good doses of hyaluronate acid, caffeine and Vitamin C infused but the number 2 ingredient in the list is alcohol denat! Skincare alarm bells just went crazy in my head to stop me from using it. Alcohol denat is too drying on the skin and it may actually irritate my sensitive skin. However, I said to myself, just one time and my need for a booster supercedes. So, I squeezed some cream on my fingertips and applied them all over my face. I felt a tingling and cooling sensation thanks to the peppermint leaf extract. Again, Paola Begoun's voice was in my head, repeating that alcohol denat and peppermint is bad for sensitive skin. Let's just say I shut her up.
Ladies and gents, I managed to stay awake throughout the entire catching up session and we even had dinner with his wife and met up with his kids. In fact, this catching up session was the most pleasant one I've ever had with this colleague of mine. The entire time, I didn't try to stiffle any yawns nor try to snap myself out of dreaming of an escapade. I actually had a pleasant time. People, this cream really works in putting my boredom at bay and keeping me awake the entire time. For anti-fatigue, I give this cream two thumbs up!! In fact, I'm still using this cream on days when I barely have enough of sleep.
This fantastic anti-fatigue cream is none other than L'oreal Men Expert's Hydra Energetic Turbo Booster. It's infused with Vitamin C and generous doses of hyaluronate acid. It's the new and improved version compared to it's previous Anti-fatigue range. It's the best I've ever tried. My skin doesn't feel dry, in fact they looked supple after applying the cream. It's definitely not heavy nor greasy as it's actually a bright orange gel that disappears completely into your skin. The alcohol denat and peppermint didn't irritate my highly sensitive skin. I had no breakouts. In fact, some discoloration due to blemishes on my cheeks actually seem to have even out more. My skin looks alive even on days when I barely had enough sleep - unlike the dull, placid skin tone when you're sleep deprived. I'm totally bowled over by how amazing this product is.
I know that generally it's not advisable to use men's products as they are harsher and doesn't suit female skin. If any of you ladies are adventurous, this is the right product to try on. I only have good things to say about this wonderful cream. I actually love the cooling sensation from the peppermint on my skin. And guys, use this cream. It's fabulous and the best from L'oreal.
My verdict?
My skin looks much better after using this cream. It's the perfect cream for men and women (if you're adventurous). It works just as well as a double espresso! Your best companion at boring functions. Guys, be prepared to receive tons of compliments after using this cream! I'm so not returning this cream to the guys :)
