Giorgio Armani Fall 2008 Couture Collection: Menswear inspired
At least, Mr. Armani agrees with me *wink* In the Paris show, Mr. Giorgio Armani has come up with yet another beautiful couture collection for this fall '08 with his menswear inspired creations. He opened his show with a concise essay of what he does best - easy yet highly elegant pantsuits. He cleverly contrasts menswear inspired fabrics and structures with very feminine trumpet-sleeved jackets and unabashedly feminine tops and vice versa. Not forgetting his meticulously tailored jackets and neatly square-shouldered tuxes are examples of Mr. Armani's pure genius. His collection exudes the taste of glamour of yesteryears with a new twist on modern minimalism. Pantsuits and all, you can always rely on Mr. Armani. Though I must note, his designs are more on the safer side plus a huge love affair with bow ties.
Which is your favourite pick? Would you prefer the dresses or the pantsuits?
