The timeless appeal of pearls

Today, let's talk about girl's favourite gems. We shall not discuss diamonds, we know way too much about diamonds plus don't you think it's way over-rated by now? Let's talk about the other classic favourite - Pearls.

Well, my dear people, pearls are timeless beauties and not at all old-fashioned as thought by many. To me, pearls are very Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Audrey Hepburn, has immortalized the pearl necklace as a symbol of elegance in her iconic picture. Pearls symbolize the epitome of womanhood. Pearl has a beautiful sense of purity and perfection. On the other hand, it has a very lingering sexy appeal too. Pearls also bring an air of elegance and affluence.

My favourite pearl accessories would be a pearl necklace. There is absolutely no reason to not love them. You can wear your pearl necklace in 1 strand, 2 strands or even 3 strands of pearls. A single strand of pearl exudes elegant simplicity and 3 strands of pearls finishes off a very polished and sophisticated look. It helps to show off your very sexy neckline especially when you spot a lose up-do and wear a beautiful cocktail dress. Today's famous celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Sarah Michelle Geller, Sarah Jessica Parker, supermodel Kate Moss are one of the many celebrities who are embracing the love of pearls

Apart from that, you can also try something different like a black pearl necklace. You can rock the pearls like how Keira Knightley jazzed up her look. She has included black pearls into her white pearls necklace for a nice twist. It has a very funky and totally chic look. I think Keira looks radiant in this simple ensemble. Black pearls are also one of my favourite pearls. They have a beautiful sheen and color that I totally adore.
