Smart travelling tips for the glam girl
Travelling does take a toll on my skin especially, with the lack of sleep and lack of proper hydration and dry cabin air that sucks all moisture out of my skin. Hence, like any beauty junkie, I have a zip lock bag that's filled with all sorts of skin friendly goodies. It can be quite cumbersome especially at checkpoints, when you have to remove your belt, your watch and anything that might set the metal detector off, while juggling your travelling bag and your precious zip lock bag of goodies. Then you have to remove your laptop, jacket and your boots if you're wearing boots and the list goes on. It really does make travelling quite inconvenient if you think about it.
As if that's not enough, they proceed to check your zip lock bag for the contents in it, sometimes. Some more time wasted in checkpoint when you could actually spend a little more time discovering new beauty goodies at the duty free shop *wink*
So, here's some tried and tested way that I personally adopt to pass through checkpoints hassle-free:
1) Remove all jackets, metal buckle belts and watches before going through checkpoints. - This way, it's quicker compared to grappling to remove these items when you're already at checkpoint.
2)Arrange all contents in zip lock bag in the neatest manner- So it's easy for the officers to glance through all the contents without having to open the bag for inspection. Trust me, it works like a charm every single time. I've not been stopped for extra inspection ever since
3) Avoid wearing metal buckle belts nor boots - It's really not very glamorous having to walk around in your socks while passing through the metal detectors and then gropping around trying to wear your boots again
4) Use some perfume and deodorant - Usually, lining up in the checkpoints make me sweat, literally. So, alittle perfume and deodorant really goes a long way. Especially, if you've triggered off the metal detectors and the officers have to manually search you. Imagine the scenario when you have to spread your arms out during the check and you're *gasp* sweaty at your underarm area. Not a very pretty ofaltory assault
5) Wear a dazzling smile - A smile really works like a charm in checkpoints and trust me, you'll breeze through like a real glam girl
I hope it works for you too. Share with me your travelling tips by commenting. Stay tuned I'll try to post as soon as possible when I get the chance to
