Le Rouge Absolu - Proenza Pink
This limited edition Le Rouge Absolu, Proenza Pink from Lancome is direct from the Spring 2007 Proenza Schouler Runway and created by Gucci Westman Neville. Gucci Westman Neville created this gorgeous pink shade in consultation with Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, the celebrated duo behind Proenza Schouler. Proenza Pink is in sync with Spring's chic bubble gum-colour lipstick trend.
Proeza Pink is only found exclusively in Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and four Lancome boutiques in the US.
Wow!!!! Limited edition designer lipstick. I just have to jump in the bandwagon as there is so much hype over this new Proenza Pink lippie. I so gotta try it and try I have.
My Verdict. I have to admit, Proenza Pink is just not the right color for me. I have tanned skin and wearing this milky white pink makes my lips look just dead. As though I've been locked up in a freezer for eternity and somebody has deliberately thrown the key away too. The shade of pink is just too pale for my liking. Ok I may be exagerating but this particular whittish milky pink is not flattering on me at all. In fact I've been a huge fan of sheer gloss and nude and neutral lipsticks, but this is just too much. Grossly pale hue. To be fair, I guess its a color that is highly selective and some may look good in it and some may not. Hey, not everyone can wear it and come out looking alive. Maybe for Halloween makeup instead :P
I guess I'll stick to my brands of lipgloss and lipsticks but I'll always be sniffing around for new colors and new limited editions to come.
Limited edition = Limited beauty?
